The WTA Wimbledon tournament is one of the four grand slam tournaments on the WTA calendar and as such is one of the most important tournaments for players to play in. This is good news for us punters, because the Women’s Wimbledon singles and doubles tournaments are jam packed with a huge number of matches for us to bet on.
The WTA Wimbledon tournament traditionally takes place in the first two weeks of July and is based at the Wimbledon Club in south west London. The Women’s Wimbledon singles and doubles tournaments run concurrently over the two weeks, with 128 players entering the singles tournaments and 64 doubles pairs entering the doubles. Because of the way matches are played, tips only become available when the match is confirmed, which for early rounds can be as short as 24 hours prior to the match taking place. This can make it awkward for users looking for tips in advance but unfortunately, it’s the nature of the beast. However, because the tournament is seeded it’s possible to work out a player’s potential route to a final and know which match ups to look for before hunting for tips. The WTA Wimbledon Women’s Singles tournament has 32 seeds in it, and these are distributed evenly throughout the draw. Further players are added based on rankings, with the remaining slots available filled by players who have won qualifying tournaments or who have been given wildcard slots by the organisers. The Women’s Wimbledon doubles tournament is done in a similar way, although there are only 16 seeds and the tournament is half as long as there are only 64 entrants.
There are several markets available to bet on at the WTA Wimbledon tournament. These include the simple markets like “player to win”, along with games total markets and handicap markets. The Asian handicap markets are especially useful for tournaments like Wimbledon which can often see a huge mismatch in players, as it will allow the odds to be brought closer to evens giving punters a better edge. It’s easy to find the match you want tips for using the filters at the top of the page. Simply select the tournament you want and then a list of matches will be available for you to select from. Choose the match you require and then you can see all the tips for that match, in all betting markets.
